Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 7.86% or 2.55 points to trade at 35.00 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.63% or 0.132 points to end at 3.770 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 3.16% or 0.1140 points to 3.7200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA), which lost 0.95% or 0.10 points to trade at 10.44 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 0.21% or 0.015 points to end at 7.085 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 0.09% or 0.02 points to 23.21.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 75 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.36% or 0.68 to $49.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.74% or 0.36 to hit $48.13 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.35 to trade at $1286.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.1239, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.7933.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 94.83.
