Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V), which rose 0.69% or 0.17 points to trade at 24.85 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V) added 0.17% or 0.03 points to end at 17.25 and YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) was down 0.09% or 0.01 points to 5.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V), which fell 3.39% or 1.09 points to trade at 31.09 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) declined 2.48% or 0.94 points to end at 36.97 and Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) was down 2.16% or 0.51 points to 23.11.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 47 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.12% or 0.56 to $48.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.10% or 0.49 to hit $44.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 2.90 to trade at $1093.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.0961, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.7086.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 97.71.
