Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Real Estate and Distributors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 9.14% or 9.80 points to trade at 117.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) added 6.00% or 8.40 points to end at 148.40 and Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) was up 5.95% or 125 points to 2225 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 10.00% or 8.37 points to trade at 75.33 at the close. Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) declined 6.00% or 6.30 points to end at 98.70 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 5.98% or 35 points to 546.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 16 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.00% or 8.37 to 75.33. Shares in Sonasid (CS:SOND) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.98% or 35 to 546.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.91% or 0.85 to $45.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.95% or 0.93 to hit $48.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.40 to trade at $1131.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.9030, while USD/MAD fell 0.02% to 9.6960.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.03.
