Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Beverage and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which rose 4.11% or 43 points to trade at 1089 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) added 3.05% or 0.60 points to end at 20.30 and Managem (CS:MNG) was up 2.63% or 20 points to 776 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which lost 5.95% or 126 points to trade at 1990 in late trade. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 4.84% or 28 points to end at 545 and Snep (CS:SNP) shed 3.80% or 3.19 points to 80.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.29% or 1.03 to $43.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.04% or 0.96 to hit $46.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1325.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.83% to 10.9230, while USD/MAD rose 0.49% to 9.7052.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.36.
