Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction, Oil & Gas and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGHM), which rose 3.68% or 2.70 points to trade at 76.14 at the close. Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) added 3.59% or 1.36 points to end at 39.21 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) was up 3.52% or 179.35 points to 5278.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which lost 5.38% or 0.27 points to trade at 4.75 in late trade. Synthos SA (WA:SNS) declined 2.68% or 0.11 points to end at 4.00 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) shed 2.67% or 1.56 points to 56.79.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 265 to 248 and 170 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.44% or 1.19 to $35.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 3.97% or 1.47 to hit $38.54 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.72% or 9.10 to trade at $1267.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.33% to 4.3251, while USD/PLN fell 0.71% to 3.9326.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 97.34.
