Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Software & Computer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 5.98% or 3.43 points to trade at 60.72 at the close. Aluminum mar 1l (CS:ALU) added 5.82% or 60 points to end at 1090 and Eqdom (CS:EQDM) was up 3.91% or 33 points to 875 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1), which lost 6.00% or 90 points to trade at 1410 in late trade. Dari Couspate (CS:DARI) declined 5.95% or 82 points to end at 1296 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) shed 5.93% or 5.74 points to 90.91.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 18 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.82% or 1.32 to $35.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.45% or 1.65 to hit $38.72 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.86% or 10.80 to trade at $1269.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.8260, while USD/MAD fell 0.41% to 9.8166.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.26.
