Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 6.06% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.350 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.50% or 0.050 points to end at 1.480 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 1.71% or 0.030 points to 1.790 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 3.03% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.480 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.31% or 0.340 points to end at 14.400 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 1.65% or 0.020 points to 1.190.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.25% or 0.65 to $51.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $57.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 9.15 to trade at $1292.15 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2365, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8309.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.00.
