Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 2.07% or 0.93 points to trade at 45.91 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 1.24% or 0.09 points to end at 7.35 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 1.01% or 0.055 points to 5.475 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 0.94% or 0.060 points to trade at 6.320 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 0.85% or 0.26 points to end at 30.47 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 0.82% or 0.0600 points to 7.2200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 73 to 59 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 2.70% or 1.30 to $46.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.66% or 1.21 to hit $44.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 12.56 to trade at $1210.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.1401, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 95.82.
