Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 4.32%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were ISS A/S (CO:ISS), which fell 0.67% or 1.60 points to trade at 238.40 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) fell 0.83% or 70 points to end at 8320 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was down 0.89% or 0.26 points to 29.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk B (CO:NOVOb), which fell 7.60% or 28.7 points to trade at 349.0 at the close. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 3.57% or 4.5 points to end at 121.6 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 3.45% or 18.5 points to 518.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 125 to 25 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in TDC A/S (CO:TDC) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.89% or 0.26 to 29.05.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 5.14% or 1.53 to $31.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 4.74% or 1.55 to hit $34.27 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.15% or 13.00 to trade at $1140.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.33% to 6.7443, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4634.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.39% at 97.50.
