Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 2.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 5.70% or 0.260 points to trade at 4.820 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 5.11% or 1.69 points to end at 34.75 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 4.86% or 0.184 points to 3.970 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 0.54% or 0.022 points to trade at 4.022 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.04% or 0.01 points to end at 23.51 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) gained 0.18% or 0.02 points to 11.41.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 152 to 29 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.72% or 0.82 to $48.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.86% or 0.86 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.48% or 6.35 to trade at $1318.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1061, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8314.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 96.31.
