Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.98% or 0.1750 points to trade at 6.0550 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.11% or 0.170 points to end at 8.210 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.98% or 0.60 points to 30.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 0.67% or 0.035 points to trade at 5.210 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.05% or 0.005 points to end at 9.350 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) gained 0.02% or 0.01 points to 40.63.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 61 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.18% or 1.13 to $53.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.69% or 1.34 to hit $51.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.71% or 8.95 to trade at $1260.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.9006.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 96.82.
