Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.92% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which rose 1.56% or 6.2 points to trade at 403.2 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) fell 0.60% or 2.8 points to end at 464.7 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was down 0.91% or 0.28 points to 30.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which lost 5.69% or 63.0 points to trade at 1045.0 in late trade. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 3.50% or 8.2 points to end at 226.3 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) shed 3.09% or 5.5 points to 172.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 124 to 25 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.02% or 1.45 to $46.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.94% or 1.44 to hit $47.53 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.41% or 18.15 to trade at $1306.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.60% to 6.6445, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4356.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 95.08.
