With no new economic data released this morning, the market is essentially flat in pre-market trading.
Last week was highly bullish, with only three sectors slightly down over the week. Notably, the market hit and closed above the Dow 40,000 mark, which, while not as significant as the S&P 500 breaking through 5,000, still captures the markets attention.
We remain long-term bullish on the market, provided the VIX does not close above 16.59 this Friday. In the short term, we will stay bullish on Monday as long as the VIX remains below 13.80 at the close of trading at 4:00 p.m.
