Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 3.49% or 1.24 points to trade at 36.79 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.50% or 0.40 points to end at 27.08 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.91% or 0.28 points to 31.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.26% or 0.2000 points to trade at 8.6400 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.58% or 0.105 points to end at 6.545 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.38% or 0.070 points to 5.020.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 53 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.94% or 1.08 to $56.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.90% or 1.44 to hit $51.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.44 to trade at $1293.44 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1800, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8933.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 93.08.
