Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the FTSE MIB rose 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE MIB were UBI Banca (MILAN:UBI), which rose 2.37% or 0.170 points to trade at 7.345 at the close. Meanwhile, Azimut Holding (MILAN:AZMT) added 1.92% or 0.42 points to end at 22.35 and Tod'S (MILAN:TOD) was up 1.69% or 1.50 points to 90.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CNH Industrial NV (MILAN:CNHI), which fell 1.00% or 0.080 points to trade at 7.915 at the close. Yoox (MILAN:YOOX) declined 0.77% or 0.22 points to end at 28.53 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MILAN:FCHA) was down 0.64% or 0.090 points to 13.900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 265 to 173 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.53% or 0.23 to $42.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.29% or 0.14 to hit $49.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.48% or 5.30 to trade at $1118.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1081, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.7106.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 96.79.
