Sept 19 (Reuters) - Stock futures pointed to a flat opening for Canada's main stock index on Tuesday, with investors betting that the escalating U.S.-China trade spat would inflict less damage than feared.
September futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 were down 0.01 percent at 6:55 a.m. ET.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE rose 113.73 points, or 0.71 percent, to 16,196.04 on Tuesday. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were up 0.08 percent at 6:55 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were down 0.03 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were up 0.01 percent. .N
