Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tod'S (MILAN:TOD), which rose 3.82% or 2.90 points to trade at 78.80 at the close. Meanwhile, UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MILAN:US) added 3.59% or 0.074 points to end at 2.134 and Tenaris (MILAN:TENR) was up 3.13% or 0.3700 points to 12.1900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem (MILAN:SPMI), which fell 3.12% or 0.2600 points to trade at 8.0700 at the close. Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MILAN:PMII) declined 2.00% or 0.0185 points to end at 0.9085 and Banco Popolare Sc (MILAN:BAPO) was down 1.32% or 0.1800 points to 13.4400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 314 to 114 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.11% or 1.90 to $48.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 4.80% or 2.37 to hit $51.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.89% or 10.10 to trade at $1147.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.1272, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.7400.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.70% at 95.55.
