Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 1.29% or 1.05 points to trade at 82.65 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 1.09% or 1.5 points to end at 138.8 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was up 0.91% or 4.40 points to 488.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 2.12% or 3.00 points to trade at 138.80 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 1.85% or 2.8 points to end at 148.3 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) shed 1.70% or 3.0 points to 173.3.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 310 to 230 and 55 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 4.65% or 1.67 to $37.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.91% or 1.90 to hit $40.62 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.80 to trade at $1267.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.05% to 9.3330, while USD/SEK fell 0.09% to 8.4749.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 97.16.
