Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V), which rose 4.02% or 0.39 points to trade at 9.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 2.90% or 0.86 points to end at 30.54 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.55% or 0.71 points to 28.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 1.91% or 0.052 points to trade at 2.672 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.44% or 0.130 points to end at 8.915 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was down 0.93% or 0.19 points to 20.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 114 to 60 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.72% or 0.25 to $34.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.30% or 0.40 to hit $31.06 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.83% or 10.10 to trade at $1221.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1093, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.7743.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 96.98.
