Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Property, Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which rose 5.51% or 0.280 points to trade at 5.360 at the close. Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 2.23% or 1.00 points to end at 45.75 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was up 2.03% or 1.550 points to 77.750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bank of the Philippine Islands (PS:BPI), which lost 1.89% or 2.00 points to trade at 103.80 in late trade. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) declined 1.62% or 1.8000 points to end at 109.0000 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) shed 1.33% or 1.15 points to 85.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 92 and 46 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.79% or 10.35 to $1320.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.58% or 0.69 to hit $44.31 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 0.64 to trade at $46.41 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.07% to 7.1833, while USD/PHP fell 0.12% to 47.910.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.83.
