Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 3.83%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Abengoa B (MADRID:ABGek), which rose 10.02% or 0.085 points to trade at 0.927 at the close. Meanwhile, Acciona (MADRID:ANA) added 9.37% or 5.925 points to end at 69.145 and Arcel. Mittal (MADRID:MTS) was up 8.15% or 0.389 points to 5.160 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enagas (MADRID:ENAG), which rose 1.22% or 0.315 points to trade at 26.145 at the close. Iberdrola (MADRID:IBE) added 1.33% or 0.080 points to end at 6.076 and Endesa (MADRID:ELE) was up 1.38% or 0.260 points to 19.095.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 199 to 20 and 3 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.28% or 3.20 to $1133.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.37% or 1.08 to hit $46.62 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.82% or 1.35 to trade at $49.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1179, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.7383.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 96.27.
