Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 2.15% or 0.64 points to trade at 30.35 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.57% or 0.37 points to end at 23.87 and TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) was up 1.05% or 0.048 points to 4.638 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.49% or 0.1340 points to trade at 3.7020 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.45% or 0.130 points to end at 8.815 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.36% or 0.14 points to 9.77.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 85 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.44% or 0.18 to $41.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.73% or 0.30 to hit $41.44 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.80% or 10.00 to trade at $1244.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1244, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.7809.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 95.33.
