Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.43% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 1.01% or 0.120 points to trade at 11.950 at the close. Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) added 0.75% or 0.10 points to end at 12.74 and Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) was up 0.15% or 0.15 points to 101.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ageas (BR:AGES), which lost 2.70% or 0.870 points to trade at 31.310 in late trade. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) declined 1.63% or 0.33 points to end at 19.95 and Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) shed 1.57% or 1.95 points to 122.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 32 and 7 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.08% or 1.05 to $1304.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.68% or 0.75 to hit $43.91 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.94% or 0.90 to trade at $45.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1117, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8882.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 97.07.
