Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Services and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 9.46% or 0.350 points to trade at 4.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 4.88% or 0.020 points to end at 0.430 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 4.03% or 0.250 points to 6.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 6.92% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.121 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 2.66% or 0.070 points to end at 2.560 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 1.43% or 0.080 points to 5.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 3.38% or 1.56 to $47.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.17% or 1.54 to hit $50.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.64% or 18.60 to trade at $1117.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.05% to 3.2815, while EUR/PEN fell 0.35% to 3.5998.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 97.24.
