Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.48%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 19.81% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.127 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 15.96% or 0.015 points to end at 0.109 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 15.20% or 0.019 points to 0.144 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 8.05% or 0.420 points to trade at 4.800 at the close. Enersur SA (LM:ENE) declined 2.14% or 0.150 points to end at 6.850 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 0.97% or 0.050 points to 5.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 22 to 6 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enersur SA (LM:ENE) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.14% or 0.150 to 6.850.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 9.32% or 2.79 to $32.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 8.18% or 2.67 to hit $35.40 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.45% or 16.40 to trade at $1143.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.16% to 3.4875, while EUR/PEN rose 0.35% to 3.8169.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.66% at 97.23.
