Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.27% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.13% or 0.4 points to trade at 19.2 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 0.98% or 180.0 points to end at 18520.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 0.54% or 60.0 points to 11100.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 2.79% or 320.0 points to trade at 11160.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 2.15% or 380.0 points to end at 17300.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 2.02% or 220.0 points to 10660.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.73% or 1.13 to $156.93 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.77% or 18.50 to hit $2398.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.11% or 13.10 to trade at $1191.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.83% to 3151.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.27% to 931.06.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 101.37.
