Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 1.51% or 0.40 points to trade at 26.87 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to end at 5.4150 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 0.17% or 0.02 points to 11.93 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 1.89% or 0.076 points to trade at 3.940 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.63% or 0.64 points to end at 38.56 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 1.55% or 0.10 points to 6.04.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 54 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.41% or 0.21 to $50.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.70% or 9.55 to trade at $1347.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1317, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 94.58.
