Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 9.24% or 2.79 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 4.20% or 0.24 points to end at 5.96 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 3.01% or 0.32 points to 10.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 6.22% or 0.505 points to trade at 7.620 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.99% or 0.1520 points to end at 3.6620 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 3.51% or 0.94 points to 25.82.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 121 to 60 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.34% or 0.64 to $47.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.80% or 0.37 to hit $45.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.20% or 27.85 to trade at $1294.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.1441, while EUR/GBP rose 0.69% to 0.7825.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 93.14.
