Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Trading, Banking, Financials & Insurance and Power & Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 16.67% or 0.10 points to end at 0.70 and Hapugastenne Plantations PLC (CM:HAPU) was up 15.55% or 3.70 points to 27.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which fell 24.33% or 739.70 points to trade at 2300.00 at the close. Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ) declined 17.11% or 427.60 points to end at 2071.80 and Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) was down 13.33% or 0.20 points to 1.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 146 to 70 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $46.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.37% or 0.18 to hit $48.43 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.70 to trade at $1174.50 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.08% to 217.980, while USD/LKR unchanged 0.00% to 140.920.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 94.67.
