Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 4.10% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.2540 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 1.23% or 0.1750 points to end at 14.4250 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.12% or 0.0002 points to 0.0180 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which lost 1.93% or 0.0510 points to trade at 2.5980 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.52% or 0.0260 points to end at 1.6850 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 1.49% or 0.0100 points to 0.6600.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 19 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.94% or 0.89 to $46.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.15% or 0.50 to hit $44.08 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.61% or 8.15 to trade at $1317.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.1237, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8507.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.37.
