Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.56% or 0.250 points to trade at 5.730 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 3.16% or 1.47 points to end at 48.02 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.86% or 0.71 points to 38.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which lost 0.92% or 0.40 points to trade at 43.06 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.87% or 0.13 points to end at 14.80 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 0.65% or 0.032 points to 4.912.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 73 to 65 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $56.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.26% or 0.14 to hit $53.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 6.85 to trade at $1218.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0584, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8670.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 101.68.
