Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 2.76% or 3.50 points to trade at 130.10 at the close. AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) added 2.60% or 4.6 points to end at 181.4 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.24% or 0.80 points to 36.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 5.07% or 12.5 points to trade at 234.0 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 1.24% or 0.73 points to end at 58.12 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) shed 0.42% or 1.2 points to 283.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 342 to 329 and 80 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.68% or 0.80 to $48.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.37% or 0.70 to hit $51.62 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1200.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.33% to 9.5452, while USD/SEK fell 0.02% to 8.9695.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 101.28.
