Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Real Estate and Distributors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which rose 10.00% or 8.80 points to trade at 96.80 at the close. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) added 8.83% or 4.06 points to end at 50.00 and S2M (CS:S2M) was up 3.71% or 8.20 points to 229.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 5.95% or 83 points to trade at 1311 in late trade. SMI (CS:SMI) declined 5.59% or 137 points to end at 2311 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) shed 4.91% or 11.90 points to 230.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 22 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.27% or 0.55 to $43.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.32% or 0.59 to hit $45.12 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.48% or 18.50 to trade at $1231.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.24% to 10.9100, while USD/MAD rose 0.33% to 9.7205.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 95.12.
