Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.95% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V), which fell 1.32% or 0.058 points to trade at 4.334 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) fell 1.66% or 0.39 points to end at 23.10 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.71% or 0.110 points to 6.315 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which fell 6.46% or 1.57 points to trade at 22.75 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 6.09% or 2.13 points to end at 32.86 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 6.00% or 0.226 points to 3.540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 157 to 27 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.32% or 0.058 to 4.334.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 4.87% or 1.94 to $37.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.99% or 1.10 to hit $35.66 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.32% or 3.40 to trade at $1075.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.1004, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.7228.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.46% at 97.47.
