Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.88% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which rose 2.42% or 5.3 points to trade at 224.6 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) added 2.23% or 5.4 points to end at 247.4 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 2.09% or 2.8 points to 136.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which lost 1.09% or 2.2 points to trade at 200.3 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 0.18% or 1.0 points to end at 562.0 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) shed 0.17% or 0.2 points to 120.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 338 to 251 and 66 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.27% or 0.13 to $48.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.53% or 0.27 to hit $51.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 2.61% or 34.25 to trade at $1278.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.21% to 9.6240, while USD/SEK rose 0.36% to 8.5968.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 96.08.
