Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 0.66% or 0.22 points to trade at 33.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.58% or 0.20 points to end at 34.50 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was up 0.47% or 0.15 points to 32.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 2.63% or 0.092 points to trade at 3.400 at the close. TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) declined 1.34% or 0.062 points to end at 4.582 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was down 1.24% or 0.26 points to 20.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 81 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 2.95% or 1.11 to $36.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 3.20% or 1.21 to hit $36.66 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.74% or 7.90 to trade at $1060.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0908, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.7356.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 98.45.
