Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 1.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 3.17% or 6.90 points to trade at 224.90 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) added 0.51% or 0.34 points to end at 66.60 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was up 0.34% or 0.010 points to 2.980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which lost 4.49% or 3.34 points to trade at 71.00 in late trade. mBank (WA:MBK) declined 4.35% or 18.45 points to end at 406.05 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) shed 4.24% or 2.17 points to 48.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 331 to 263 and 170 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.79% or 0.43 to $54.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.87% or 0.49 to hit $56.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.35 to trade at $1257.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.36% to 4.3168, while USD/PLN rose 0.30% to 4.0774.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 100.92.
