Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 0.08% or 0.03 points to trade at 37.58 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) fell 0.14% or 0.0100 points to end at 7.0150 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.35% or 0.12 points to 33.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which lost 3.97% or 1.52 points to trade at 36.73 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 3.86% or 2.10 points to end at 52.30 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 3.63% or 1.14 points to 30.26.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 20 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.18% or 0.61 to $52.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.97% or 0.47 to hit $49.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.68% or 20.79 to trade at $1257.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1140, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8601.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 97.53.
