Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 2.36% or 5.50 points to trade at 239.00 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 1.61% or 2.20 points to end at 139.20 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 1.34% or 4.3 points to 324.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which lost 1.51% or 15.0 points to trade at 979.5 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 1.00% or 0.90 points to end at 89.55 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 0.99% or 2.8 points to 280.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 398 to 313 and 78 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.09% or 0.04 to $45.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $48.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.05% or 13.55 to trade at $1279.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.03% to 9.7790, while USD/SEK rose 0.37% to 8.7212.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 96.98.
