Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 7.25% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.138 at the close. Meanwhile, Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) added 5.33% or 0.09 points to end at 1.78 and Motor Oil (AT:MORr) was up 3.80% or 0.38 points to 10.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which fell 6.45% or 0.002 points to trade at 0.029 at the close. Hellenic Telec (AT:OTEr) declined 3.93% or 0.32 points to end at 7.82 and Metka (AT:MTKr) was down 3.83% or 0.29 points to 7.29.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 33 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) fell to all time lows; falling 6.45% or 0.002 to 0.029.
Gold for December delivery was up 2.00% or 22.60 to $1154.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.45% or 0.20 to hit $44.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.32% or 0.15 to trade at $47.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.89% to 1.1285, while EUR/GBP rose 0.75% to 0.7391.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.74% at 95.68.
