Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.63% or 0.15 points to trade at 1.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) added 2.21% or 0.8 points to end at 36.5 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 2.05% or 0.7 points to 36.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 3.96% or 11.6 points to trade at 281.6 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 2.18% or 0.2 points to end at 11.2 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 1.81% or 0.12 points to 6.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 106 to 78 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 4.20% or 1.57 to $35.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.75% or 1.06 to hit $37.66 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.24% or 13.20 to trade at $1074.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.83% to 9.5782, while USD/NOK rose 0.85% to 8.7643.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 98.29.
