Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.80% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.23% or 375 points to trade at 9230 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 4.13% or 355 points to end at 8960 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 3.88% or 10.2 points to 273.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which lost 0.46% or 1.3 points to trade at 280.1 in late trade. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 0.41% or 3.5 points to end at 866.0 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) gained 0.73% or 1.3 points to 179.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 54 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.52% or 1.04 to $42.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.96% or 0.84 to hit $43.75 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.68% or 20.80 to trade at $1255.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.54% to 6.5452, while EUR/DKK fell 0.04% to 7.4432.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 93.99.
