Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 2.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 15.12% or 0.031 points to trade at 0.236 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 15.05% or 0.042 points to end at 0.321 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 8.43% or 0.021 points to 0.270 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 2.94% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.132 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 2.56% or 0.010 points to end at 0.380 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) shed 2.02% or 0.004 points to 0.194.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.49% or 1.08 to $44.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $45.51 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1267.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3350, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7883.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 94.22.
