Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Industrial Investment and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.32%.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005), which rose 4.73% or 1.88 points to trade at 41.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050) added 4.36% or 0.94 points to end at 22.50 and Savola Group (SE:2050) was up 3.75% or 2.51 points to 69.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050), which fell 4.26% or 0.73 points to trade at 16.40 at the close. Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100) declined 3.56% or 0.82 points to end at 22.20 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) was down 2.93% or 1.22 points to 40.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 117 to 48.

Shares in Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.26% or 0.73 to 16.40.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.66% or 0.92 to $54.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.26% or 1.36 to hit $58.95 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.10 to trade at $1164.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.83% to 4.1350, while USD/SAR fell 0.04% to 3.7500.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 96.69.
