Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Leasing & Factoring and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 7.59% or 0.230 points to trade at 3.260 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) added 5.24% or 0.48 points to end at 9.64 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) was up 5.15% or 4.50 points to 91.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA), which lost 4.19% or 0.180 points to trade at 4.120 in late trade. Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA) declined 2.00% or 0.30 points to end at 14.69 and Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:YAZIC) shed 1.13% or 0.26 points to 22.82.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 195 to 139 and 69 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.04% or 0.54 to $1229.14 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.67% or 0.76 to hit $46.28 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.55% or 0.75 to trade at $49.13 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.20% to 3.5461, while EUR/TRY fell 0.16% to 3.9001.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 98.53.
