Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V), which rose 5.26% or 0.93 points to trade at 18.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) added 2.88% or 0.97 points to end at 34.70 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) was up 2.43% or 0.67 points to 28.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V), which fell 1.25% or 0.38 points to trade at 29.94 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) declined 1.09% or 0.37 points to end at 33.46 and Sampo Oyj A (HEL:SAMAS) was down 0.91% or 0.39 points to 42.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 97 to 75 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.38% or 1.12 to $48.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.27% or 1.01 to hit $45.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1130.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1256, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.7422.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.03.
