Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 3.00% or 260 points to trade at 8915 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 2.58% or 215 points to end at 8545 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 1.75% or 5.1 points to 295.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which lost 1.18% or 0.70 points to trade at 58.65 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 0.88% or 1.6 points to end at 179.7 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) shed 0.84% or 2.3 points to 271.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 52 and 25 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.86% or 0.78 to $41.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.48% or 0.65 to hit $43.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.48% or 6.45 to trade at $1340.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.22% to 6.7119, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4383.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 96.59.
