Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Telecoms & IT and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.18% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which rose 9.59% or 0.70 points to trade at 8.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Chemical Company (SE:2230) added 9.58% or 5.75 points to end at 65.75 and Alinma Tokio Marine Co (SE:8312) was up 8.51% or 1.80 points to 22.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jazan Development Co. (SE:6090), which fell 4.07% or 0.70 points to trade at 16.50 at the close. Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (SE:2160) declined 1.96% or 0.20 points to end at 10.00 and Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding Co. (SE:1810) was down 1.92% or 1.25 points to 64.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 92 to 74.
Shares in Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (SE:2160) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.96% or 0.20 to 10.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.95% or 1.27 to $41.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.26% or 0.57 to hit $44.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1056.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 3.9773, while USD/SAR rose 0.05% to 3.7550.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 100.05.
