Investing.com - Stocks in focus in premarket trading on Monday:
• Boeing (NYSE:BA) stock fell 1.5% in premarket trade by 8:20 AM ET (12:20 GMT) after Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier Flyadeal cancelled a provisional order for 30 737 Max jets and instead will buy 50 planes from European rival Airbus Group (PA:AIR) NV (OTC:EADSY). Boeing is still waiting for the Federal Aviation Association to say when it will allow the grounded model to fly again.
•Symantec (NASDAQ:SYMC) stock jumped 4.9% after Bloomberg reported that Broadcom has secured financing for a takeover bid that could be as high as $22 billion. Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) stock was down 0.6%.
• Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) stock gained 1.2% after it released a new series of graphics cards.
• Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) declined 3.5% after it said it plans to cut 18,000 jobs worldwide in an effort to restore long-term profitability.
• AZZ (NYSE:AZZ) stock surged 11.7% after the metal coating and welding company reported better-than-expected results for the fiscal first-quarter, driven primarily by its metal coatings segment and two large Chinese orders.
• Crane (NYSE:CR) stock was in focus after the industrial product engineering company increased its offer for CIRCOR International (NYSE:CIR) to $48 per share from $45 per share. The stock fell some 10% after it first announced the hostile bid in May.
