Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Food Producers & Processors and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 8.37% or 11.20 points to trade at 145.00 at the close. Timar (CS:TIM) added 5.86% or 13.35 points to end at 241.00 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 5.11% or 7 points to 140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which lost 5.03% or 2.65 points to trade at 50.05 in late trade. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 4.85% or 51 points to end at 1000 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) shed 4.47% or 6.80 points to 145.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.13% or 0.59 to $52.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.73% or 0.40 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.25 to trade at $1234.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.30% to 10.7010, while USD/MAD rose 0.22% to 10.0557.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 100.60.
